The Oxfam Online Shop (OOS) was launched in September 2008. The
online shop has brought together Oxfam's key products into a single
coherent proposition – a shop within the oxfam.org.uk website with a
single basket and checkout, consistent customer service, and
consolidated fulfilment systems.
There are three Categories of product currently sold through the
OOS. They are:
Oxfam Unwrapped – tangible elements of Oxfam’s
programme presented for sale as virtual gifts, most notably a goat
for £25.
Donated Products – items donated to Oxfam by the
general public through its network of high street shops. Each item
is unique and is listed by volunteers in a process similar to
listing an item on ebay. NB Oxfam is the only charity in the UK to
